Newsweek magazine just announced that they have hired Karl Rove to write opinion pieces on the 2008 election. This balances out their announcement earlier this week that they had hired Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas.

Hillary Clinton has picked up an endorsement from a new union being formed by the merger of two older transportation unions. The new group will represent about a quarter million workers.

Appearing before the conservative Federalist Society, Rudy Giuliani promised that as president he would he would appoint Supreme Court justices who are like Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas.
According to a new poll, Rudy Giuliani has a slight ecge over John McCain in McCain's home state. The BRC poll shows Giuliani with 20% among Republicans and McCain with 18%. Clinton is the clear favorite in the Democratic primary with 44%.
